Car Wish List Revised....

Also getting my car back today....WOOHOO! However, there were some unforeseen problems that have arisen in the buttoning down phase: my new exhaust system is quite huge and they're running into coupler problems with my existing UUC VM III cat-back. They've had to fabricate a coupler. Also, they're VAG tool indicates some DTC errors which are associated with all the new parts...essentially, the existing sensors are pinging values which are off-parameter and the new ECU will take a couple of hundred miles to integrate the new hardware. Nothing major.

This weekend, I'll be doing the last phase of the STAGE III system, the AWE Tuning Fueling Kit: Walboro fuel pump, fuel filter, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure gauge, injectors, spacers, air box, MAF housing, Bosch MAF, silicone coupler, RS4 Y-pipe, NGK platinum's, GIAC "beta" programming. I got a good DIY on-line and I figure it will take me 8 hours considering I've never done it before. I'll upload pics of the process.

As for my revised wish list, here it is:
1. APR Bi-pipe
2. Avalon Motorsports "Monstrous" oil cooler
3. Autospeed Performance Phenolic thermal spacers
4. Stoptech 332 mm 4 piston calipers kit, front. Considering this is my wish list, you'd think I'd go with ALCON 6 Pot's or Brembo 8 Pot's for twice the price. My answer is "WHY?". The Stoptech's are performanced matched to the B5 master cylinder and provides balanced braking. Most other ridiculously expensive BIG BRAKE kits actually LESSEN stopping distances. And of course, they won't have brake fade, but who cares if you can't stop the car! These kits are simply too damn big...but people buy them believing that bigger is better.
5. Bilstein PSS-9 coilovers with 650/750 springs. Actually, I don't even know where to get them. I just know they kick ASS. As to the springs, probably H&R's, and as to the spring rates, I just don't know. I read people running 750/1150!!! And again, I can go with Stasis Engineering Motorsports triple adjustable ohlins coilovers with external reservoirs for over twice the price...but why? I want height adjustable for corner balancing, and damper adjustables for street and track tuning. Rebound adjustment is completely foreign to me and MOST people simply leave the Rebound at one setting anyway.
6. AWE Tuning's RS4 side mount intercoolers. Simply BAD-ASS. Nothing comes close.
7. Schroth 4-point harness. I slide all over the place with my OEM set-up. Even with thePerfectLine's G-LOCK, I feel like I might fly out of my passenger side window coming out of T-6 at Sears.
8. 18x8 OZ Racing Superleggera. They look fantastic and have the appropriate off-set for my car. Again, I could go with HRE's or BBS's or Volk Racing's for 2 to 10 times the price, but why? Superleggera's look just as good, weigh just as much, and is just as strong.
9. And a crappy daily driver...a japanese 4-banger will do...hehe. I hate putting so many miles on the "S".
